2018 Winter Cabin Fever Meeting is February 3RD

The Winter Cabin Fever Meeting on Saturday, February 3rd at Munnell Run Farm in Mercer was another great event. Thanks to Tim Wilson, Jeff Giardina from the fish and boat commission and everyone from the board that helped put it together and especially to Carol Jockman for the great food. The meeting was open to all Trout Unlimited members and the public,  and covered upcoming chapter events and current programs. Jeff Giardina, WCO for the PFBC, talked about his work with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. Some great stories were told. The main speaker was Tim Wilson, fisheries biologist with the PFBC, discussing the Unassessed Waters Program, Class "A" Wild Trout Water, Removing barriers for Steelhead migration and the current Shenango River "No Consumption Advisory". These guys are a wealth of great information and clearly love their work.
 A great lunch was also served.

Munnell Run Farm is located 1.5 miles north of Mercer on Route 58 on the west side of the highway.  Turn into the entrance road, drive past the Avalon Springs Nursing Home, and stay to the right.  The “Pig Barn” meeting building is just past the large cow barn on the left side of the entrance road.
