Adopt-a-Stream Project
The Habitat Management section of the PAFish & Boat Commission manages a program called Adopt-a-Stream. This includes one-time events and continuing projects such as the Cool Spring DHALO Project. Local groups sponsor cleanups and fish habitat improvement projects, such as preventing stream bank erosion, usually on a nearby waterway. Commission employees work directly with volunteers to help investigate, initiate, administer and design projects. Assistance is also given to co-manage fisheries habitat improvement projects.

What You Need To Know About Cool Spring Creek
If you have fished the delayed harvest (DHALO) section of Coolspring you know it is a stream with beautiful flowers in the spring and very good fishing. It is a stream where you may see deer or wild turkey if you are quiet and lucky. It’s a stream that has good access via groomed trails in the DHALO area.
