Nursery

The Chapter sponsors a trout nursery as part of the PA Fish Commission’s Cooperative Nursery Program. The Chapter’s nursery is located on the Mercer County farm grounds, 1 mile north of Mercer on Route 58 behind Avalon Springs.
A lot of hard work turned an old slaughter house building into a home for over 1600 3-4 inch fingerling trout each year. Check out before and after photos of the nursery building.
