Topographic maps are broken up by quadrants and are original maps from United States Department of the Interior Geological Survey. The base map is a 256 index color "tif" file that is roughly 5000 x 7000 pixels. They are calibrated and encode for those of you with GPS units and software. The maps are set to the North American Datum of 1927. For units that don't suport that protocol NAD83 works fine with only an error of a few feet.
