Chapter Job List On-Line
Work Day Saturday, July 19th at Coolspring Creek
We are working with the Grove City Sportsman’s Club on a Wolf Creek stream improvement project. The Sportsman’s Club would like to improve a 150-yard section of the stream to make it accessible to children and handicapped youth for fishing.
At the end of November, we submitted a letter to Mr. Peter A. Colangelo requesting permission to move ahead with this project. The area would be open year round, and it would be stocked with Trout every year. The stockings from the Pa Fish & Boat Commission would be supplemented with Trout from the Neshannock Chapter’s Munnell Run Nursery.
This area would be the only one of its kind in Mercer County, and we would propose to have Fishing Derbies every year for the children (12 years and younger) and disabled persons from the area.
