News from Munnell NurseryP. Anthony Munnell Run Trout Nursery personnel (Jim Williams, Jim Noble, Ken Tarczy, Cary Brant, Pete Anthony) stocked 302 trout in the upper section of the Neshannock Creek watershed (Hope Mill Bridge area), Friday, October 19th. Average size was 7 inches. A total of 602 trout have been stocked this fall. Approximately 1,600 rainbows remain in the nursery. Next stocking is planned for February 2002. Over 300 people visited the nursery September 16th as part of the Mercer County Conservation District/Woodland Place sponsored annual Fall Harvest Festival. At the end of the busy day, the trout were stressed as well as 'a few members of the nursery management team'. Volunteers were Jim Noble, Ken Tarczy, & Ray Magensky. |
