Notes from the EditorNick Loprire I am normally a healthy person but this year caused real problems for me. I had (still have a touch) the worst case of cabin fever imaginable. If you dont believe me just ask my wife. February weather was tantalizing during the workweek but the weekends were lousy. Finally at the end of the month the weatherman said 57 degrees on Sunday. Thats all I needed to hear. Could it be that I could chase the steelhead and cure my fever? More about my adventure later. The memorial plaque for Tony Palumbo has been ordered and arrangements for a stone to mount the plaque have been made. We should receive the memorial in early April. A dedication ceremony is being planned. The sign to recognize the stream bank work along the Neshannock Creek in the area of the fly shop has been received and it is a work of art. The sign was paid for with the remaining grant monies of the Audubon Society. It was made by Cape Cod Signs in Warren, Ohio. We hope to have it installed within the next month or so. Make sure you look for it on your next visit to Volant this spring. |
