The Spring OutingWeather permitting we will gather for the annual spring outing at Shelter #1 in Oil Creek State Park at Petroleum Center. The date is May 12 and someone will be there at 7:30 AM with coffee and donuts. If you skip the coffee to start fishing, plan to convene at the shelter by 11:30 –12 noon for a picnic lunch of burgers, dogs, and all the trimmings. It’s a good chance to pick up some pointers on fishing Oil Creek and to meet some of the other members. PLEASE contact Pete, any officer or me and let us know if you plan to attend. We need a count for food. This is typically the caddis hatch time of the season and if the weather cooperates there should be some great dry fly action. If there are any questions don’t hesitate to call. See you there. |
