A little known fact is that most state approved trout waters permit fishing for trout till February 28th. The delayed-harvest areas are not the only waters that have a good supply of trout. The Munnell Run Trout Nursery staff stocked approximately 575 trout at the Hope Mill Bridge area of the Neshannock this past fall. To reach the area, travel south of Mercer on route 19 for approximately 2 miles. After you pass beneath 180, turn left onto the road opposite the Crane Company. Travel another 1/2 mile. Hope Mill Bridge is just past Clark's Campground. Don't be surprised if you catch a rainbow that looks like a steelhead.
