  • Receipts & Disbursements Report – Carol reviewed the report ending Jan 31, 2010
  • 990N FORM – The Federal Government sent our 990N form with the wrong Employees Identification Number (EIN).  It appears that NW Ohio Chapter 035 and ours is mixed up; we have been using the same EIN since 1993 so they must have made a mistake on Chapter 035.  Jeff Kremis will follow up to correct this problem.

  • Yearly Member Recruiting Meeting – Jeff Kremis reported that Steve Keppler of the Pa Fish & Boat Commission agreed to speak at our membership meeting.  Jeff will set a date with Steve and get him a room at the Radisson Hotel because he has a 3-hour drive.  The meeting place may be the auditorium area at Penn State Shenango Campus.

5. Old Business:
  • Marcellus Shale – Steve Keppler, who is scheduled to speak at our membership meeting, will talk about the perils of drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale deposits in the state of Pennsylvania.  This type of drilling poses a lot of problems with brackish wastewater from the drilling process.  Our Chapter President, Jeff Kremis, requested permission to write a letter from the chapter to the Sharon Herald, one of our local newspapers.

A motion was made by T. Jochman to approve Jeff’s proposal to send the article to the Sharon Herald on behalf of Neshannock Chapter 216.  R. Natoli seconded it and the motion passed.

6. New Business:
  • Chapter Web Site – P. Anthony recommended we discuss the chapter web site at the May meeting, and come up with ways to keep it updated.  Our Web Site Manager, John Siebert, is too busy to do the job by himself.
