- Trout In The Classroom Rick Stevens and Tim Jones are co-chairman of the Conservation Club of Delahunty Middle School. Rick was present at our board meeting to gather information necessary to provide the students at Delahunty school the opportunity to raise trout with the Neshannock Chapter’s assistance. His school will be the first in Mercer County to accept this project. The school will need a 50-gallon aquarium with cover ($150), a water chiller ($500 our chapter will submit a grant for this money), and instruction classes in order to get the project started. The second year, and years thereafter, the chapter will donate a $150 maintenance cost. The Pa Fish & Boat Commission will supply Brook Trout eggs, and instructional classes start June 21st in Lockhaven, Pa. More information on this type of project may be found at www.patrout.org
