4. Committee Reports:
A. Watershed Coordinator – Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
  • No Report

B. Nursery – Pete Anthony/Jim Rafferty

  • Last year the nursery spent $1300 and had $300 left over because they did not construct the bulletin board outside the Nursery. Pete reviewed the budget for the coming “June to May” Trout raising time period, and said they would spend about $950, and they are not applying for any grants. Bill Fay made a motion to grant $1000 for the Nursery, it was second by Jim Mondok, and the Motion passed.
  • Jim Mondok will submit a Pa Conservation Fund Grant Request to get money to build a storage shed between the Nursery, and the Girl Scouts Garden area. The shed could be shared between our chapter and the Girl Scouts.

C. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire

  • Nick would like to improve the “turnaround time” to get the Newsletter published and distributed. The May Newsletter took 5 weeks. One thing that would help is to move the Bulk Mailing permit to the Mercer Post Office, the cost would be $300 total; $150 to check our credentials, and $150 for the permit.
  • Either Jeff, Jim, or Pete could see that the Newsletter gets picked up at the Printer’s, and delivered to the Post Office.
