D. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire
- Nick reviewed the menu, the layout, the jobs list, and the prizes for the various events for the banquet. The silent auction will have about two dozen items, the verbal auction about a half dozen, and the bucket raffle “major prizes” are as follows:
- Winston 8’-6”/ 5 weight / 3 piece rod with Lamson Radius II Reel
- Damascus steel knife with a 3.5" blade custom made by Ran Rantanen (Athol, Idaho), and a Buck folding knife.
- Shopping Sprees (3) at Neshannock Creek Fly Shop - $300 / $100 / $100
- Mossberg 855 Waterfowler 3.5" Mag Camo
- Tailwater XT Stocking foot waders & “Easy On” Battenkill studded boots
- Apple Ipod with 4-gigahertz memory
Dick Natoli offered a suggestion by Pete Anthony and Ken Tarczy to have one major prize raffled off at the Munnell Run Nursery table. That raffle would benefit the nursery, and help pay for their operating expenses. Most of the board members thought that would be a good idea, so Nick offered the following “major prize”:
- “Loaded fishing vest” & 7 piece “Travel Rod” by Orvis
- Dick Natoli reported that our banquet special guests this year include our WCO’s and their wives, our website manager, and four landowner couples.
