3. Treasurer’s Report – Jeff Kremis
  • Chapter Credit Card – Planning on obtaining Orvis Credit Card for chapter use.
4. Committee Reports:
A. Watershed Coordinator – Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
  • Jochman – tree plantings. Thanks to Tom and Carol Jochman for donating and planting tree saplings at the Cool Springs project area.
  • Response – (Letter to land owners – 4 wheeler damage) No response was received relative to the letter concerning the four wheeler damage except from Mrs. Vogan and her family. The comments from the Vogan’s was in support of eliminating the abuse of the land around Cool Springs caused by the off road vehicles. They do not want any vehicles on the property without written permission. It was decided that a phone contact effort would be undertaken. Aaron will call Jim Smith (SBC); Pete – Dick Mills & Bill Graham; Jeff – Larry Peters. I talked with Jim Smith later that week and he said they had received the letter and supports our position. He said the SBC would support signs that stated “Foot Traffic” Only. Jim also stated that this could be a “delicate” issue with some land owners and must be handled diplomatically.
  • Pete contact Roger Hoffman (Rich Knauff – rocks for Wolf Creek) Pete has contacted Roger and he suggested that we just get the rocks from him and he will not have to do as much moving of equipment. The board thought that sounded O.K. but wanted to make sure we didn’t offend Rich. Aaron to call Rich and see if he’s O.K. with not using his rocks. I talked with Rich this past week and he was O.K. with not using the rocks he offered. He has them in a fence row and was only looking to help out TU.

B. Nursery – Pete Anthony

  • Spring Gerhardt article – The July issue of PA Angler will have an article on the nursery.
  • The nursery will receive 2000 Brown Trout fingerlings on June 26th
  • There will be a workday at the nursery on June 3rd and volunteers are needed.

C. Cabin Fever - Dick Natoli

  • Tabled until the June meeting

D. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire

  • Tabled until the June meeting

E. Membership – Tom Jochman

  • Tabled until the June meeting

E. Youth Coordinator – Dick Rickert

  • 2006 Rivers & Fly Fishing Youth Camp

  • Potter Co. trip – June 3rd & 4th. Please let Nick or Aaron know if you are going to attend so that the food can be planned.
