In Attendance:

1. Opening Comments – Aaron Monroe
  • Tabled in the interest of saving time
2. Minutes from Last Meeting – Dick Natoli
  • Minutes were accepted as read.
3. Treasurer’s Report – Jeff Kremis
  • Budget Report – Jeff reviewed the budget Report ending February 28th, 2006
  • The Budget Report will be filed for future audit.
4. Committee Reports:
A. Watershed Coordinator – Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
  • Beagle Club Bridge – No further progress on this project; waiting for span dimension from Doug Pears.
  • Coolspring Parking Lot - Jeff will order some 2A Modified gravel for the lot. Bill Fay reported he could spread the gravel on the 28th or 29th of March.
  • Workday April 1st – We will conduct an “Adopt-A-Highway” cleanup, and spread some gravel around the TU parking lot. A walking bridge on the West side of the stream needs to be lengthened by at least 4 feet, and other projects were discussed. We will eat lunch with the Beagle Club members at their clubhouse.

B. Nursery – Pete Anthony

  • Tabled in the interest of saving time

C. Cabin Fever - Dick Natoli

  • Tabled in the interest of saving time

D. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire

  • Advertising – We discussed various advertising on the radio and on cable TV.
  • Silent Auction Prizes – We discussed pulling art from the “Silent Auction” if we do not get the minimum bid. They would then be put in the “Verbal Auction”. If they are not sold in the “Verbal Auction”, Bob Shuey will return them to his store. We discussed prizes for the Silent Auction.
  • Skin the Trout Game – Nick and Aaron gave us an update on this game. Contestants will pull a golf tee out of a hole and check for a paint color on the end of the tee to see if they are an instant winner.
  • Artificial Flower Arrangements – Donna Natoli will make them for us; we will pay for the materials.
  • Banquet Final Review – Nick reviewed the Bucket Raffle Prizes (7), the end of the Bucket Raffle Cash payout (tickets for the ending cash raffle will be 6 for $5.00), table reservations, jobs list, and the menu.

E. Membership – Tom Jochman

  • Tabled in the interest of saving time

E. Youth Coordinator – Dick Rickert

  • Wolf Creek Fishing Derby – Dick passed out a summary of all the information on the fishing derby. He reviewed contacts, expenses, schedule, advertising, and a “Jobs List”.
  • 2006 Rivers & Fly Fishing Camp – Dick has two applicants; one from Ohio, and one from Pennsylvania.

6. New Business:
  • Oil Creek Outing – The date for this year’s event is May 13th.
  • Growing Greener Grant – Jim Mondok reported that applications are due by April 24th if we have anything. He asked if we had any viable projects coming up. Tom Jochman asked about increasing the size of the raceway at the Munnell Run Trout Nursery. It is too late for this round, but we can discuss some projects for the next application time frame.
  • Deer Creek Project / Review of Wolf Creek Project – Dick Natoli recapped the March 10th meeting that he, Joe Morris, and Pete Anthony had about the Deer Creek people’s wish to improve their stream. We explained what was done at Wolf Creek, and the amount of people and companies involved in that effort.
