1. Opening Comments – Aaron Monroe
  • TU T-Shirts – Aaron asked about the Knight Line companies quote for shirts that we may sell at the January Membership Meeting and the March Banquet. We reviewed our costs and decided to order 50 shirts (without pockets) for the January meeting. The board wants to look at the colors available in order to make a choice.
  • Profit from T-Shirt sale – Bob Shuey said that the profit from the T-Shirt sale should go to our Munnell Run Trout Nursery, and the board members agreed.
2. Minutes from Last Meeting – Dick Natoli
  • Accepted as read
3. Treasurer’s Report – Jeff Kremis
  • Monthly Budget Report – Jeff reviewed the budget report ending October 31st, which was the first report for the new fiscal year.
  • TU National Financial Report – Jeff sent in the chapter financial report to TU National Headquarters
  • Oil Creek Chapter Donation – We have a similar project with money already committed in the Fox Run Project, and we are not able to help out right now.
4. Committee Reports:
A. Watershed Coordinator – Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
  • Bridge at the Beagle Club’s Property – Jim Mondok said that he has received no word from Joe Morris, to find out if the Beagle Club would be willing to move the bridge to the upstream location.

B. Nursery – Pete Anthony

  • Trout Stocking – 700 Trout have been stocked so far this year, the next stocking will be in January or February.
  • Thank You Card – Pete received a thank you from Bob Hetz for our donation of money to the 3-C-U Trout Association

C. Cabin Fever - Dick Natoli

  • Date, Place, and Time – Nick Loprire reserved Saturday, January 28th with Bob Zikmund at the Hermitage VFW. We have both sides of the hall and the time will be from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM
  • Speakers – We discussed possible speakers for the event. One possible speaker is from the Turkey Federation, and another is our Waterways Conservation Officer for Mercer and Lawrence Counties. WCO Joe Morris could talk about the Wolf Creek Project and show the beautiful color slides he made of the children fishing at last spring’s fishing derby. Joe could also use the DVD made by Pete Anthony.
  • Educational Casting Contest – Bob Shuey proposed that we give fly-casting lessons to the people attending. The ceiling may not be high enough for regular casting techniques. He said the instructors could also explain how to tie the two main knots required for fly fishing:
    1. Fly Line to Tippet
    2. Tippet to Fly
  • 2006 Work Day Sign-up sheets – We need to have work day sign up sheets at the membership meeting
  • Antique Lure Demonstration – Nick Loprire will check with a friend to see if he will bring his antique lure display.

D. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire

  • Date – Nick reserved Saturday, March 25th for the Banquet next year
  • Advertising – Nick asked for one of the board members to coordinate the advertising while he concentrates on the prizes. Nobody volunteered.

E. Membership – Tom Jochman

E. Youth Coordinator – Dick Rickert

  • No Report
5. Old Business:
  • Nothing
6. New Business:
  • Chapter Web Site – John Siebert has not had any time to devote to our Chapter Website due to personal and family problems. Aaron Monroe volunteered to write John a letter to ask if a board member could be taught how to update the site, which would relieve John of that responsibility
  • Munnell Run Farm Foundation – Jim Mondok invited all of the board members to a small “Thank You” party at the Activity Building on December 8th at 7:00 PM. Our chapter donated some money to the farm this year.
