- Chapter Effectiveness Survey Aaron reported that we need two more entries from Jeff Kremis, and one more from Tom Jochman to complete the survey. We did very well on the survey, which means our chapter is on solid ground.
- Note from WCO Joe Morris Joe requested we help out repairing some deflectors in Wolf Creek see the Watershed Coordinator section of the minutes.
- Next Board Meeting The next meeting will be at 3:00 PM at the Munnell Run Farm Education Building on Sunday August 7th. The combination Picnic / Meeting will be hosted by the Munnell Run Nursery Staff.

- Monthly Budget Report Jeff reviewed the budget report ending June 30 and he also reviewed our “actual spending vs. budgeted dollars” report
- Chapter Donations Jeff reminded us that we need to decide how much we will donate this year; last year our donations were as follows:
- Munnell Run Farm - $1000
- Pennsylvania TU - $500
- 3 CU / Bob Hetz - $300
- Shenango River Watchers - $100
- Lawrence County Chapter of Pa Clean Ways - $100
- Pete Anthony suggested we donate $200 to 3CU this year because of the large number of hatchery fish that they donated to Neshannock Creek (400 plus fish). Perhaps Bob Schuey would pick up part of that donation since his Fly Shop benefited from the fish.

A. Watershed Coordinator Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
- July 16th Workday Jeff said there was a low turnout as only 5 TU members showed up. They still got a lot accomplished including construction of a walkway adjacent to the Glory Hole, and fixing of steps on several small walk-over bridges.
- Note from WCO Joe Morris Joe sent Aaron an e-mail and said that the young kids from the area have been taking rock out of the stream deflectors and throwing it into the stream. He requested we schedule a workday to return the rocks back inside the wood deflectors.
- Bridge at the Beagle Club’s Property Joe also told Aaron that the Beagle Club wants to replace the stream bridge behind their property, which used to span Cool Spring Creek. The September 2004 flood wiped out the bridge. A discussion followed and Jim Mondok said they should pay a $250 application file fee to get a permit to put the bridge back in. An estimate of the engineering work would have to be completed by a civil engineer and filed with the application. Jim will contact a civil engineer he knows and get an estimate. Jeff Kremis talked about rebuilding the bridge with Beagle Club member Doug Pears, and reassured him the Neshannock Chapter would support their bridge efforts. Several of our board members talked about possible monetary donations towards the civil engineering fees.
- Fox Run Project We are still working on a resolution to Pete Anthony’s motion to “encumber” $5000 towards the Phase II Fox Run cleanup. The first vote on his motion failed since we only had 5 votes out of 10 board members. Pete then agreed to amend the motion to read that the money would come out of the Treasury, and not specifically the Coolspring Fund. Dick Rickert seconded that motion, and it passed.
- Next Workday The next workday will be a Sunday afternoon on October 16th at 1:00 PM unless a Browns vs. Steelers game is that same day.
B. Nursery Pete Anthony
- Nursery Budget - Pete reviewed the 2005-2006 budget for the Munnell Run Nursery, and the largest single item was the cost of replacing three windows in the building walls. They are not able to open the existing windows in the summer months to get some cross ventilation; the new ones will be vinyl clad, double hung.
- Grant Request They submitted a grant request for $1070, which included $45 for a new thermometer to measure water temperature in the raceway.
- August Picnic Meeting The August 7th picnic/board meeting will be behind the education building. Members are asked to bring a covered dish or a dessert to compliment the Nursery’s hamburgers, hot dogs, sweet corn, and soft drinks. Games will include horseshoes and miniature golf.
- Weed Wacker replacement Pete asked for a new weed wacker to use on our workdays and also around the Nursery grounds. Nick Loprire reported that he fixed the old one and we should table the discussion on obtaining a new one until the old one re-evaluated.
C. Cabin Fever - Dick Natoli
- Tabled until November’s meeting
D. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire
E. Membership Tom Jochman
- No Report because Tom was absent
E. Youth Coordinator Dick Rickert
- Fly Fishing Camp - Dick reported that the two youngsters that attended the Yellow Breeches Fly Fishing Camp had a great time. He will invite both to our picnic so they can tell all the board members about the experience.

- Polo Shirts Jeff Kremis reported that National TU would allow us to duplicate their logo on our shirts. In other words, we can hire a local shop to embroider shirts for us if that is less expensive than purchasing the TU shirts. Dick Natoli will get a cost from a Girard merchant, and Nick Loprire will get a cost from a Cortland area merchant (15 to 25 shirts).
- Coolspring Creek Parking Lot Jeff Kremis will contact fellow board member Bill Fay and get measurements on the TU parking lot for the purpose of ordering gravel. Bill volunteered to bring his Front End Loader down and spread the gravel over the lot.

- Community Service Work at the Nursery Pete received a request for a local area Pa resident to do service work at the Nursery. Pete will talk with him about it and Aaron will send him information on our next workday.
