A. Watershed Coordinator – Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
  • April 9th Workday – Jeff said that it was an excellent workday with very good attendance. Tom Jochman said the signup sheet at the March Banquet was a good idea since we picked up an extra half dozen volunteers.
  • Proposed date for next workday is Saturday, July 16 with the following tasks:
    1. Coolspring Parking Lot needs a new covering of gravel. Bill Fay volunteered to bring down his equipment to do the job. Jim Mondok recommended either “#3RC” or “#2A Modified” limestone for the job.
    2. Jeff said the old steel culvert pipe that is along side of the parking lot at Neshannock Creek Covered Bridge road needs hauled away.
    3. We need to construct a walking bridge along the path on the West side of Coolspring Creek near the Glory Hole.
    4. Pete Anthony said he would schedule Bill Graham to brush hog the paths prior to the workday; this will make it much easier to work on the bridge.

He needs two people in waders on each float box.

  • Sponsor’s Sign – We installed the sign that describes the Children’s and Handicapped Fishing Area on the workday, which was April 9th. This completes all of the elements of the fishing area.

5. Old Business:
  • Fox Run Motion by Pete Anthony – Tom Jochman suggested we tour the Fox Run project so the Board of Directors is familiar with it. The board agreed and Jim Mondok suggested we have the June 27th board meeting in the Activity Building at Munnell Run Farm. We could drive up to Fox Run from there, visit the site, and return to the Activity Building to finish the meeting.
  • Youth Fly Fishing Camp – Dick Rickert said that two youth would attend the camp this year, Tyler Micsky and John Buchenic. Dick asked for permission to borrow two Fly Fishing Kits from the Chapter for these two boys to use at camp. Bob Shuey will set up the fly rods with line and tippet. Dick also asked permission to purchase two rod/reel cases to protect the equipment while the boys are at camp. Bill Fay also said that he has two vests that he will donate.
6. New Business:
  • Polo Shirts - Jeff Kremis wants the Board members to purchase Polo style shirts with a TU logo to wear at our chapter events. Bill Fay will contact a Greenville area merchant to see if the logos could be applied to shirts purchased locally in order to save money.
