- Coverage of Joe Morris Award Only one newspaper that we know about, The Warren Tribune Chronicle, covered the news about the award we gave to Joe Morris. Aaron sent the release to about five newspapers.

- The minutes for the board meeting were approved as read.

- Monthly Budget Report Jeff reviewed the budget ending October 2004.
- Budget Proposal for 2005 The budget was outlined and the result was it might cost us an additional $1000 if we do everything as proposed.

A. Watershed Coordinator Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
- Revised signs for DHALO area on Cool Spring Creek Joe Morris informed us on Nov 16th that the Pa Fish Commission has new signs for Delayed Harvest areas. The signs spell out exactly what type of artificial lure is permitted. Joe will get us the signs when they come out and we need to replace the ones presently displayed at Coolspring.
- Growing Greener II Grants We received an information sheet from the “Pa Organization for Watersheds and Rivers” that asked for our Chapters support of the funding. Traci Cammack, their administrative assistant, asked that some of our Pa Board members write letters to their State Representatives in support of the funding initiative.
B. Nursery Jim Mondok (Pete Anthony was absent)
- New Budget - Jim reviewed Pete’s budget for the 2004-2005 Nursery year; the projected expenditures were $993.00. Jim made a motion the budget be accepted, Aaron seconded it, and the motion passed.
C. Cabin Fever - Dick Natoli
- Date - Confirmed to be January 29th at the Hickory VFW, and the hall is reserved from 10:00 AM until 4:00 Pm to allow for setup and teardown.
- Time The time period was from 11:00 Am until 3:00 PM (4 hours), and we decided to change it to 3 hours from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Speakers - Several potential speakers were discussed:
- Don Matthews Steelhead Fishing (Aaron Monroe to check)
- Don Fiegert Deer Hunting (Jim Mondok to check)
- John Savu Antique fishing lure display (Nick Loprire to check)
- Rich Faylor Outdoor Journal (Dick Rickert to check)
- Rod Raffle Nick Loprire secured a 7 ft 6 inch Reddington for the raffle
- Flea Market - Decided against inviting people to sell their stuff this year
- Fly Tying Demonstration Nick volunteered if we decide to do it this year
- Table to the “Most Unusual Photograph” with a Tall Tale No decision on this yet
D. Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire
- 2005 Banquet Nick had a handout with an outline of the event, which showed the prizes, Raffles, and we discussed several things:
- Two shopping spree prizes instead of one this year
- Basket of home made food items
- Dice game that the Mercer County Youth Banquet used pay money to roll dice and win tickets to be used to win prizes
- Bean Bag Toss for tickets to be used for prizes
- Split Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod as major prize
- Newsletter Mailing Procedure Jeff explained the procedure that he goes through in order to mail the Newsletters at the post office. It is important that we know what to do in case Jeff is unavailable. He gave the Secretary a copy to place in the records for safekeeping.
E. Membership Tom Jochman
- Tom needs to make a copy of the membership roster “by Zip code” and forward it to Jeff Kremis to use in the bulk mailings of the newsletters. The newsletters get separated and mailed out by Zip code.
E. Youth Coordinator Dick Rickert
- Boy Scout Fly Fishing Merit Badge Kevin Bonner sent Dick a package of information on how to be a Merit Badge Counselor, and Dick passed out forms to the board members.
- BSA Venturing Carl Hall said the youth involved in the Boy Scout Venturing program would also be interested in Merit Badges.
F. Wolf Creek Project - Dick Natoli
- Signs for project The plastic laminate sign for “Contributors and Sponsors” is completed and Dick will build a Cedar frame for it. Barry Spiker who runs the Public Works Department at Grove City will do the “routed out letters” for the large upper sign.

- Awards at Laurel High School Dick Rickert has the 8-inch x 10-inch certificates for Aaron to sign. A replica of the certificates will be etched in metal with a wooden plaque behind it. These plaques will be awarded to Bob Miles and the Laurel High School District.

- MCCD Farmer / Director Nominations Jim Mondok asked that we submit our recommendation for this post by November 30th. Dick Natoli will forward a sample letter to Jeff Kremis and he will take care of that.
- McCandless Ford Display Pete Anthony wants to revive setting up the Chapter 216 display at the Mercer Ford dealer this year. The board agreed as long as Pete could find some help to do it. Dick Natoli will call Pete to discuss it.
