A. Watershed Coordinator Jeff Kremis/Jim Mondok
- Neshannock Creek Covered Bridge Area Roadway Bob Schuey reported that Denny Salmon will fill up the bad spot in the roadway once the weather dries up; he charges $40.00 per hour.
- August 14th workday The Glory Hole will be worked on with Doug Pears bringing in his front-end loader to scrap the rock and debris from the streambed. We may also do a roadside cleanup on our “Adopt-A-Highway” section of Scrubgrass Road if enough volunteers show up.
- Gabian Basket Project We need to schedule a date with the Beagle Club to finish filling the wire basket with rock at the swinging bridge.
B. Nursery Pete Anthony
- Tail Rot Disease Some of the 1600 Rainbows have this problem but the nursery personnel are managing it with Salt applications, and keeping the raceway clean.
- Picnic / Board Meeting August 8th The annual picnic is scheduled for Sunday, August 8th at the Munnell Run Farm starting at 3:00 PM. This picnic is to show appreciation to the Nursery personnel who volunteer their time and efforts to raise the fish every year.
- Conservation and Land Trusts Pete handed out literature explaining how Pa Land Trusts function; this was a follow up to his wish list that our chapter would someday access rights to the land on both sides of Cool Spring Creek from Lake Latonka to Scrubgrass Road.
Notice Pete sent out a note on August 2nd that the picnic will be cancelled for the date of August 8th; not enough nursery personnel could make that date
C. Cabin Fever / Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire
- Tabled until this November
D. Membership Aaron for Tom Jochman
- Aaron reported that access to the “Leaders Only” section of the National TU Website has been fixed and our officers are now able to access the site. The problem was caused by TU having two different home addresses for Aaron.

F. Wolf Creek Project - Dick Natoli
- Sign for project The board had some good suggestions for revising the sign. The caption “Contributors and Sponsors” will be moved to the plastic engraved portion of the sign to make it more clear. Also the engraved sign will be estimated as broken down into two pieces in an effort to conserve vertical space. Dick Natoli will get some cost estimates.
