- Welcome to new board members Aaron will publish new members on TU chapter web site.
- Sharpsville Beagle Club (SBC) report Jeff Kremis and Aaron Monroe attended. We told the SBC that the first stocking is planned for May 3rd if the ice isn’t a problem. SBC said they would like to schedule a workday when the weather improves to finish the filling of the wire baskets by the swinging bridge. They will communicate the date. (We offered TU’s help.) SBC has a field trial setup for April 3rd, which coincides with our workday. They invited us up to eat at their clubhouse after we finish. They said we might find the trials interesting. We offer to pay for our members eating and said we would give them a number the morning of the workday. The SBC said they are considering work of the fence that borders the East Side of the stream. They may take the fence down or repair it but understood that we would like to keep as much shade on Cool Spring as possible. They are considering planting Hemlocks as well. At the TU board meeting Jim Mondok said if they keep the fence back from the stream 50 feet they won’t have to get a permit. The deer carcasses in the parking area were discussed. Joe Morris (SBC member and WCO) said that if he got names of people dumping the deer he would prosecute.
- Ted Fauceglia? - A member is trying to contact Ted for insect photos. Nick loprire said he has a phone number and would e-mail it to me.

- Read and approved. Jeff will transfer $1000 from the F.N.B. account to the checking to cover pending expenses with the banquet approaching. This will show up on the February report. The Cool Spring CD is maturing and Jeff inquired if we wanted to let it roll over for another 6 mos. at 3.12%. It will happen automatically if we take no action. Bill Fay will look into a 1-year alternative that may yield approx. 6% and get with Jeff.

A. Watershed Coordinator Jeff Kremis
- Workday (consent forms, ref Dick’s e-mail) The workday is April 3rd. Bob Shuey requested that some work be considered at Neshannock Creek on a TU workday. The path by the railroad car needs brush hogged and the parking area at the covered bridge could use some gravel. It was decided that a group would meet at the covered bridge at 9:00 A.M. on March 7th and evaluate the parking area and then go to the railroad car area to access the work needed. Bob Shuey also said the PA F&BC has cut back it’s stocking quantity in Neshannock and request the we consider increasing stocking from the Munnell Run Nursery.
B. Nursery Pete Anthony
- No report available because Pete was on vacation. Pete’s wish list - tabled
C. Cabin Fever / Banquet / Newsletter - Nick Loprire
- Summary of 2004 event Reviewed Jeff’s summary with a total cost of $873.95 and receipts of $408.00 resulting in a cost to the chapter of $465.95.
- Opinions on success The opinion was unanimous that the event was a success and should grow in the future. It was suggested that we try next year to schedule early enough to reserve the total hall and try to have more demo’s that will take more room. The suggestion was also made to make the Saturday prior to the Super Bowl on annual date to establish a consistent following.
- Prizes Need more activity on prizes to replace some of those from previous banquets that are not available this year. Nick distributed a spreadsheet detailing the prizes expected and already received.
- Tickets Nick requested that as soon as tickets are sold to let him know so that he can keep the VFW current on a food total. Currently there are 90+ tickets sold and we would normally expect 180+ to attend.
- Newsletter Has been submitted for printing. Tom will print mailing labels.
- VFW liability Insurance Form (ref. Dick’s e-mail) Not discussed
