- Bait Fishing in DHALO areas This is being discussed at the state level and it is possible that the regulations may change to allow summer bait fishing in the currently designated Delayed Harvest Areas of our streams. The Neshannock Board favors keeping the current regulations because the fear is the streams may lose some large fish between June 15th and Sept 15th. Also, the “Lunker Fund” at the Volant Fly Shop would suffer. Anyone wishing to express an opinion should send an e-mail letter to Dennis Guise at the Pa Fish & Boat Commission at www.fish.state.pa.us. Pete Anthony has sent a letter and Aaron also plans to send one.
- Cabin Fever Symposium and the March Banquet Aaron requested that the major portion of our meeting be devoted to these two events since they require a lot of planning.
|
- The minutes for the November 24th meeting were waived to save time.
|
- Jeff gave the Treasurers report for the period ending November 30, 2003. We have money available to spend on stream improvements; and Jeff suggested that all of the Board Members come up with ideas for Cool Spring Creek improvements. These ideas can be discussed once the March Banquet is over and we have more time.

- Neshannock Chapter 216 Mailbox Jeff will move our mailbox from Sharon to Mercer in December or early January depending on the expiration date.
- Pa State website for TU Pete Anthony reported the link between our chapter website and the Pa State Website is now fixed.
|
- Deer Creek Consortium Pete Anthony reported that the members need ideas on ways to improve a six mile stretch of Deer Creek from Route 173 to the French Creek in Custaloga Town. After Pete gets back from Florida, he will invite them to our April Board Meeting to discuss their needs.
- Reg McClelland informed us that he accepted a new job, and he will be relocating to South Carolina in January; he has to resign from the Board. We will certainly miss Reg because of his friendship and his significant contributions to our chapter for many years, and we wish him and his family good luck in their new location.
- Board Membership We need new members on the Board; does anyone know of someone willing to help us? Perhaps we can interview some prospective candidates at the Cabin Fever Symposium.
