Black Beadhead Caddis
submitted by Anthony Argenziano
It is fairly easy to tie..and has produced well. I "got" the fly from a web-site awhile ago..and didn't know the author, until the latest issue of PA and Boater arrived. The issue credits the son (Bryan) of Charles. R. Meck as the originator.
Additional info...
If you wish to use this fly in tandem w/dry fly, I suggest only a small bead used for weight, so as to get the fly under some but not too heavy as to sink the dry fly. This will suggest an emerging caddis or Hendrickson. This pattern doesn't quit working after Spring and works well through the Summer months. If you want to use this pattern to tempt the elusive Steelhead, I recommend you omit the tail. Give this fly a try. Good luck. !!
