WE ARE MOVING, to a new venue for the spring banquet. The Radisson Hotel at Rt. 18 and I-80 will be the new site for our banquet festivities. The facilities are excellent and the food is on the same level. Keep this in mind and plan to be with us on March 20, 2010.
After much discussion, we decided on this first rate facility and with it will come a modest increase in ticket pricing. A Single adult will be $30, a couple $55 and under 16 will be $15. These are advanced ticket prices. At the door it will be $35, $65, and $17 respectively. This means, mark your calendars, make a decision and buy your tickets early. More info to come about the banquet, but you can bet on a good time, some great prizes, interesting fly tiers and chance to dust off the mantel of ole man winter.
Sponsor and Corporate Sponsor Tickets will be available again this year. For the price, these tickets get you MORE raffle tickets than if purchased separately at the banquet. Contact Tom Jochman tomjochman@sbcglobal.net or Nick Loprire steelhd789@aol.com or any board member for more info.
Please mark your calendars for March 20th, 2010 at 5:00 pm and plan to attend. The ticket prices are the same (see order form) and will afford you a great evening to meet up with friends, solve a fly tying problem and enjoy a great meal while supporting Nehannock TU to continue our mission of preserving the local coldwater resources. Remember all the money we raise that night remains in our chapter account for the benefit of raising trout, stocking, and improving the environment of local waters. As you think about taking a son, daughter or grandchild fishing, remember that without the grassroots support of TU and other groups there would not be as bright a future for trout. We need YOUR support to for the future.
We have secured a 40 inch Sony Bravia 1080 Dpi HDTV for raffle again this year. Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10. We will have tickets at Neshannock Fly Shop, Benjamins, and with all board members when you read this. The 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold at the banquet only this year. Also remember that member Chris Lantzy is building another gorgeous bamboo fly rod for our Bucket Raffle. It will be a 7-1/2 ft 5 wt. just about ideal for most Pennsylvania waters. Don’t miss your chance at this great prize.
If you didn’t make the banquet last year make a new year’s resolution to go and support the chapter and the work we do. We hope to see you there at the Radisson.
